So a millionaire is traveling through Italy, when he passes a ranch where a beautiful white horse is galloping the grounds. Immediately he decided that he must have this horse for his private ranch, and that he would ride it today.
Approaching the owner of the horse, the millionaire said, “I will pay you $300,000 dollars for that white horse in your field…cash.” The farmer, who had never seen that much money in his life immediately agreed, and proceeded to saddle up the horse. Turning to the millionaire, the farmer explained to him, “This is a very special horse. He has been trained to only gallop when you shout out ‘Praise the Lord,’ and he will only stop when you say ‘Amen.’”
The millionaire, barely listening to the old farmer, immediately shouted, “Praise the Lord,” whereupon the horse took off at great speed. Covering miles seemingly in minutes, the ground flying away underneath him as the horse galloped wildly, he was horrified to discover that the horse was heading towards a large cliff.
Pulling back on the reins, the millionaire strained and struggled to stop the white horse as the distance between them and the cliff quickly closed. Thankfully, at the last moment, the millionaire remembered to exclaim “Amen,” whereupon the horse came to an immediate stop.
Weeping for joy, the millionaire was so relieved, that he rolled his eyes to the sky, and with upraised hands he exclaimed “Praise the Lord”…
